Three famous pioneering aircraft. In the foreground is the Ryan NYP "Spirit of Saint Louis" flown by Charles Lindberg across the Atlantic in 1927. In the middle is "Space Ship One", designed by Burt Rutan and is the first private enterprise ship to launch a man into space. In the background is the orange Bell X-1 "Glamorous Glennis" rocket powered research plane that carried Chuck Yeager past Mach 1 in 1947.
